Target The Trash gets friends and coworkers together for a morning of target shooting, followed by an afternoon cleaning up a popular public shooting area. It's been held every year for more than 15 years. We typically pack out 600–800 lbs of trash, and last year we removed more than 880 lbs. Everyone leaves with a few empty mags and a much cleaner desert.
I email the exact meeting spot to registered attendees.

FAQ
Is this sponsored by anybody?
No. It's an informal, volunteer-run event.
Can I invite others?
Yes! Share the invite and access code with anyone you think would be interested. Each person needs to vote and register on this site themselves so I get an accurate headcount.
What if I don't have a gun, or have never shot before?
You don't need to bring a gun. If you don't have one, or have never shot before, many attendees are happy to let you try theirs. If you'd rather not shoot at all, you're welcome to join us for just the cleanup portion of the event.
Can I use this for my company's "Volunteer Day"?
I have no idea. Talk to your company or manager, and if they have questions, my contact info is below.
I have a schedule conflict. Can I show up late or leave early?
If you plan on shooting, please arrive on time so you get the safety briefing. If you can't make the morning, plan to show up around 11:30–12:00 and give me a call when you get to the area. Please plan to stay through the end, since the more people we have, the more cleanup we can do.
Can I bring TVs, old cars or Tannerite?
No. We're trying to clean up the mess, not make more, and these kinds of targets are a big part of the trash problem on public land. Please only bring paper, cardboard, wood or AR500 steel targets.
Where exactly is it?
It's in the general area listed above. I email the exact meeting spot to registered attendees.
